Here is a classic image of somewhere which might well remind you of one capital, but is actually another capital, several thousand miles away.
Where is it?
Image taken from Wikipedia – I would give a credit, but that would enable a reverse look up!

Canberra or Brazillia?
I was going to take a punt on New Delhi, but I’m tempted to go for Riyadh.
Riyadh is a dust bowl. Brasilia is the where this image reminds me of, but if you had £16,000 and answered Brasilia, you would have just lost £15,000….
Looks very Bilbao, but I think it’s somewhere they might drive on the right looking at the road signs.I would say somewhere in Mexico possibly China. They are chomping through developments like John Candy through a free subway.
Bilbao? No way, Bilbao has some very famous landmarks (including its wonderful but impractical Calatrava-designed Bilbao airport, but it is dominated by the Guggenheim, which is much more curvaceous than this! Driving on the right doesn’t narrow it down – and it is much closer to Mexico City than it is to China.
I’m thinking somewhere like Houston – as they are (nominally) English speaking and teh car is God – so the world is constructed around auto-convenience.
Right country, but Houston is not a capital (not even a state capital), unless you mean it is capital of oil and car culture.
But if you want a clue, the city was used in our 5th anniversary quiz.
